This case provides perfect protection for my Magellan when it's tossed into the center console.
One correction, it's not the 3.5" but the 4.3" that I purchased. It protects well my navigon. It fits like a glove. I use it with my Navigon 7100. Good price.
The shape of the case is the same as the shape of the Navigon gps although you could fit other types of gps in it since it has a little bit of extra room inside. This is a hard shell case so it will definitely protect the gps more than the soft padded cases.
The zipper is on the outside part so it will not scratch the gps. The case is great.
It has bands on both sides (one for each, left and right) so that the gps will not fall off if you open it. It has a little bit of room inside for the gps to move but it's just a little bit.
The look is very nice in and out. The picture is exactly how it looks like.
Overall, it is great.
This case is NOT hard. It is just a little purse with a zipper. Do not waste your money.
The zipper sucks big time. It looks cool. I got this case for my Navigon 2100. Very cheap and hard to open/close. Gray and orange is not bad. The material for the case is decent both outside and inside. Like other people said, the case is big and your unit will move around in it. Just your average case, something that I needed.
